In the before-times…
Services are held from the Sunday after Labor Day through the Sunday before Memorial Day. The service usually begins at 11am, but check the local newspaper church page on Thursday or our Facebook page (no login required). Speakers are chosen from a diverse group and programs may include: social action, environmental issues, history, political issues, human rights, scientific theories or discoveries, personal needs, morality, or community.
Potluck dinner is served each Sunday after the service. Please join us in this long established tradition!
Adult Discussion Group
People meet on Sunday at 10am for fifty minutes in the meeting room adjacent to the sanctuary. The topics for study and discussion are chosen by the group and everyone is encouraged to voice their opinions
Occasionally we have more in-depth discussions and activities and those interested in participating determine a time best suited to their schedules.
Children’s Religious Education
All children are welcome!
The goals of the Children’s program are:
- To appreciate the worth of each person.
- To work and play cooperatively.
- To recognize and express their feelings.
- To explore and celebrate the rich diversity of humankind.
- To explore and celebrate the natural world and to understand the interconnectedness of all living things.
- To discover and express a spiritual dimension.
We provide religious education at 11:15 once a month. Like the one room schoolhouse, emphasis is away from the teacher toward our questioning, creative, intuitive children.
The Children’s Room, downstairs off the kitchen, is a place where the children are welcome and should be comfortable at all times.
Infants and toddlers
Infants and toddlers are most comfortable with their parent/guardian and are welcome upstairs during the service or in the infants and toddler room where their parent/guardian can hear the service while the children play. There are baskets of toys available for children of different ages.
